Mark Bey has been around real estate since he was eight years old. His father, the founder of Bey Realty, ran his own Philadelphia brokerage for more than 25 years. Growing up inside that business taught Mark a lesson he still builds his career on: homeownership is one of the most powerful tools a family has for building stability, wealth and a lasting connection to place.
Mark earned a dual degree in Finance/Banking and Spanish from Morehouse College. He then served with the Peace Corps in Central America, where he lived the language and culture day to day. When he came home to Philadelphia, he got his real estate license and joined the family business. He has been active in real estate in Pennsylvania and New York since the 1990s. After eight years in New York City, he returned to his hometown to continue his father’s legacy and help people make Philadelphia home.
Alongside his real estate career, Mark has been an educator for 29 years. He is a certified Spanish teacher who has taught every level from kindergarten through college, and he holds master’s degrees in Educational Leadership from Temple University and Hunter College. That classroom experience shapes how he works with clients. He listens first and meets people where they are. Every step of the process is explained clearly, in English or Spanish, so clients make decisions with confidence instead of pressure. For first-time buyers, families relocating to Philadelphia and Spanish-speaking clients, that clarity changes the whole experience.
His finance background makes Mark a numbers person. Investors and value-driven buyers rely on him to analyze returns, find upside early and spot where a neighborhood is heading before the market does. He thinks in systems, which keeps transactions organized and on schedule.
Mark covers all of Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. He is especially focused on emerging neighborhoods like Brewerytown, East Falls and Wynnefield Heights, where he lives today. He was raised in Roxborough and has also lived in Fairmount and Center City, so he knows the established parts of the city as well as the ones still taking shape.
Outside of real estate, Mark plays flag football and pickleball, does CrossFit, and cycles and walks the city. He travels widely to experience new cultures and new food, and he is a devoted fan of modern ballet.
